What's New
Here you find the version history of IBirthday. This history is also part of
the documentation found in the downloadable archive.
Version 1.05 - 30-October-2004
- Fixed problem that system command tool bar buttons (Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste etc.)
were not handled correctly.
- For an event's date the notification showed the real age plus one year.
- For past events the age was off by one year on the main list.
- Added "Goto next due" menu item to make the
next due event visible.
- Changed calculation/display of event "ages" so that
events that will occur on a future date will have the "age"
calculated for the future year.
- Fixed issue with transparent icons and bitmaps.
- Fixed problem that could arise when creating new entry and a filter was set.
- Fixed problem when dealing with events dated 29th of february.
- Updated sample images.
Version 1.04 - 31-January-2004
-
Fixed problem not importing memo pad/address book note events correctly when
specifying a note within brackets ([ and ]).
-
Fixed bug/crash when creating a new entry caused by not properly handling a
specific date format set in the Palm's preferences.
-
Changed layout/look-and-feel of manual.
Version 1.03 - 4-March-2003
-
Fixed potential problem when an event's note was edited through the main form's
table by clicking on the note column.
-
An event's note will be displayed on a seperate form now, when an Alarm is
shown.
-
Fixed cosmetic problem with import form gauge being drawn over the gauge's
bounds.
-
While displaying the alarm no other application may be launched thus preventing
to miss a displayed alarm. This could potentially happen when you miss to
notice an alarm and want to launch your Palm through one of the for application
buttons.
-
Fixed problem with snoozed alarms not reappearing.
-
Entering events with a date in the future will now display ?? rather than a
negative age.
-
When editing an event's name or note the fields will be using auto shift
functionality, i.e. the first letter will be caps.
-
Added option to beam a single entry or a whole category at once.
-
IBirthday is PalmOS 5 compatible now (Importing Events now works).
-
Added new Preferences for details on the Main List. It is now possible to
select whether to also display: The type of Event, age and remaining days until
Event.
-
Added option to specify a category to import Memo Pad entries into.
-
Added option to have Datebook entries created as private.
-
Fixed critical problem with finding entries. If any filter (category selection,
entry type, entry note) has been set things were going bezerk. IBirthday will
now switch back to unfiltered mode when selecting one of its entries from the
search results. A later version might change filter settings smarter/more
appropriately.
-
Fixed cosmetic flaw with the (Filtered) indicator having a corrupt left
bracket.
-
Added option to view the Contact details of an entry if that entry has been
imported from the Address Book and if that source entry still exists.
-
In some situations, where filters where applied, IBirthday scrolled to the
wrong Event on startup.
-
When an entry Filter was applied, and a new record was added, IBirthday got
totally confused and could cause a crash of the system.
-
Finally the No-HotSync bug has been fixed and IBirthday Events will be backed
up to your PC, even with no additional backup software installed.
-
When filtering using a Note, IBirthday will now also scan through the first and
last name fields of Events.
Version 1.02 - 10-October-2001
-
In some cases the Dirty Bit was not set for changed entries. This could lead to
the database not being backed up correctly.
-
When two events were set up on the same date, with the same Alarm time,
IBirthday only showed an Alert for the first one it found. The second or any
other events for that date/time were lost and no Alert was displayed. This has
been fixed.
-
Added option to delete all events at once.
-
Fixed problem where the list of events was corrupt after changing the
display/sort order.
-
Added support for standard notes handling, including Icon shown on main table
as well as special form for editing notes.
-
When re-sorting the main list, a wait dialog is shown, now.
-
Sorting now correctly works if no first or last name have been supplied.
-
The entry's note may now be edited through an Edit Note form, i.e. it is no
longer restriced to just 32 characters. The filter, however, still is.
-
Reduced main form flickering after some operations.
-
When changing the list type of the main Event list, the list was not resorted
according to the new preferences.
-
When any filter was enabled, IBirthday did not scroll to correct records,
sometimes.
-
When opening the Import Form, IBirthday crashed if there was a memo with a very
long title.
-
Improved the way Registration IDs are being validated.
-
Added Graffiti State indicators to forms where it was missing.
-
Improved Registration Form to show the User ID for which to enter the
Registration Code.
Version 1.01 - 29-May-2001
-
When deleting an event, the corresponding Datebook entry (if any) was not
removed.
-
It was not possible to assign an event to the top category listed in the Edit
Form's category list.
-
When adding a new entry while displaying any other category than "All",
IBirthday got confused and mixed up the event currently being edited.
-
When filtering entries, IBirthday sometimes forgot about certain events or
showed duplicate entries.
-
Changed the way IBirthday interprets 2-digit year figures. If anything less
than 10 is entered as the year it is assumed to be something beginning from the
year 2000. If anything between 10 and 100 is entered, it is assumed to be
within 1900.
-
Added option to sort the list by name/date either ascending or descending.
Version 1.0 - 9-May-2001
