View all of your Event details

Using IBirthday you may manually add events to the application. IBirthday may list the following data on its main form. You may configure which details to show.

  • Mark for nearest event
  • Name of event/person
  • Age of event/person
  • Days until event
  • Date of event

Edit all aspects of Events

For each event within IBirthday, you may set the options:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Date of the event
  • Specify whether its a birthday or an anniversary
  • Create a date book entry
    • As a repeating event or not
    • As a private datebook entry or not
  • Set an alarm to sound off
    • Specify the alarm time on the date of the event
    • Specify a pre-alarm to sound off in advance to the event

Import Events

Keeping your list of events in sync with your address book or memo pad could not be easier. Simply keep the basic information about events within your address book's entries so you know exactly whom you are dealing with. Having entered the appropriate event information into one of the entries' custom fields or notes, you may import the data into IBirthday. When you prefer keeping events within the memo pad, simply store and edit all events there and import them into IBirthday.
IBirthday will keep track of orphaned entries and delete those from its database for which it does not find an appropriate entry anymore (within address book or memo pad). On the other hand IBirthday will know when you have updated an entry and will import the changed data accordingly.
When importing events you may preset all event related data (datebook, alarm etc.) and all imported/updated entries will receive these settings. When importing, IBirthday will automatically create the appropriate datebook entries, if selected.

Alarming - It's time to wake up

When it's time to sound off an alarm, IBirthday will use the alarm sound set up in its preferences and pop up a form that gives you all the details you need to react.
IBirthday will tell you about

  • The type of event
  • Date and years
  • Name of event/person
  • When the event is due

When you feel like you have to call up the person, you may bring up the list of contact details (from the address book) if that event has been imported from the address book.

You may snooze the alarm so that it will pop up after the time you have specified.

It's time to never forget birthdays and anniversaries anymore...
